A closer look at the treatments, technology and care behind your Harris Palace experience.
Choosing a treatment can feel like a lot when every option sounds different. This guide gives you a little more detail before you book. Your consultation is always the place to talk through your skin, your goals and what is right for you.
Every facial I offer at Harris Palace is tailored to what your skin needs on the day. Treatments can be gentle and calming, deeply cleansing, brightening or renewing, depending on your skin and your goals.
SkinBase Hydrofacial
Targeted SkinBase Hydrofacial serumsResurface, replenish and rejuvenate
When your skin needs a drink, a reset and a serious glow, SkinBase Hydrofacial offers refreshment and replenishment. This non invasive facial combines gentle exfoliation, purification and hydration with targeted active serums selected for your individual skin.
How does Hydrofacial work?
Hydrofacial follows three key stages: cleanse, exfoliate and infuse. A gentle blend of AHAs and BHAs helps to exfoliate the skin before a targeted serum containing active ingredients is infused according to your skin concerns.
Personalised serums
Hydrofacial is not a one serum fits all treatment. SkinBase offers different targeted serum options, allowing me to personalise each appointment around what your skin needs.
What can Hydrofacial help with?
Hydrofacial can be a lovely choice for skin that feels dehydrated, dull, tired, congested, uneven or lacking radiance. It may also improve the appearance of fine lines, pigmentation and skin that is prone to blemishes.
Why choose Hydrofacial?
Hydrofacial combines visible results with a treatment that makes the skin feel wonderful. It is gentle enough to enjoy regularly while still being tailored to individual concerns. Skin feels smoother, fresher and hydrated, with a beautiful post facial radiance.
Deluxe Hydrofacial
A more indulgent version of the Hydrofacial with a mask, hand massage and neck included. It is ideal when the skin needs hydration, comfort and a healthy looking glow.
SkinBase Microdermabrasion
Professional SkinBase technologyFresh, smooth skin
The ultimate skin polish for smoother, clearer and fresher looking skin. This professional resurfacing treatment uses ultra fine crystals and gentle vacuum action to remove the build up of dead skin cells from the surface. The vacuum action also helps to stimulate circulation.
What can Microdermabrasion help with?
Microdermabrasion can be useful for improving the appearance of dull or tired looking skin, uneven texture, congestion, blocked pores, fine lines, pigmentation, sun damaged looking skin, certain acne marks and overall skin radiance.

Neither is better. They are designed to do different things and can work beautifully together as part of a longer term skin plan. I will look at your skin, listen to what you want to achieve and recommend what makes sense at that time. Sometimes your skin needs a polish. Sometimes it needs a drink. Sometimes it needs both.
Why SkinBase?
SkinBase is an established professional skincare technology brand used by more than 2,200 accredited salons and spas across the UK and Ireland. I chose it as a professional, results focused system that can become part of a personalised skin plan.
Why I use Microdermabrasion regularly
Microdermabrasion is the treatment I use most regularly myself. I love the way it gives my skin a thorough but controlled polish, helping it feel smoother, fresher and clearer. It is not about removing as much as possible. It is about choosing the right level of exfoliation for your skin.
Dermaplaning
The ultimate skin refresh. Dermaplaning is a professional exfoliating treatment that gently removes the build up of dead skin cells and fine vellus hair, often called peach fuzz. It leaves the skin feeling exceptionally smooth, soft and fresh, creating a beautiful canvas for skincare and makeup.
Why medical grade blades matter
I use medical grade Dermaplaning blades designed for professional use, never ordinary razors or blades intended for home hair removal. The blade is held at the correct angle and worked across the skin with careful, controlled movements. Professional equipment, technique and a properly controlled environment all matter.
What can Dermaplaning help with?
Dermaplaning removes dead surface skin cells and fine vellus hair, instantly improving smoothness and helping the complexion look brighter and fresher. It can soften the appearance of uneven texture, create a smooth base for makeup and allow skincare to be applied to freshly exfoliated skin.
Results, suitability and the hair myth
Skin often looks brighter and feels incredibly smooth straight after treatment, making Dermaplaning popular before an event. The hair will not grow back thicker or darker because it is only removed at the surface. Active acne, irritation, compromised skin or certain conditions may mean the treatment is not suitable at that time, so I will always assess your skin first.
The Harris Palace Dermaplaning experience
Dermaplaning is about professional exfoliation, attention to detail and leaving the skin beautifully fresh. When appropriate, it can also be incorporated into a wider facial or skin rejuvenation plan.
Green Algae Peel
Bioactive marine algae treatmentProfessional Green Algae Peel
A powerful natural treatment for skin renewal. This results focused resurfacing treatment uses tiny bioactive marine algae particles that are carefully worked into the skin to stimulate its natural renewal process. As the old surface sheds, fresher, smoother and brighter looking skin is revealed.
What can the Green Algae Peel help with?
It may improve the appearance of uneven texture, dull or tired looking skin, congestion, enlarged looking pores, uneven pigmentation, blemish prone skin, post blemish marks, fine lines and overall skin quality and radiance. It is designed to encourage renewal, rather than create only a temporary glow.
What happens after the treatment?
Over the following days, the skin can become dry and begin to peel and shed as part of the renewal process. Peeling may last for several days depending on your skin and treatment protocol. It is important not to pick, scrub or try to speed up the process. Careful aftercare allows the skin to renew as intended.
Planning and suitability
This active resurfacing treatment is not suitable for everyone. Your current skin condition, sensitivity, skincare routine, lifestyle and any upcoming events or holidays must be considered. A consultation and suitability assessment are required, and it is not a treatment to schedule immediately before a special occasion.
Why I have a Green Algae Peel every six months
I have a Green Algae Peel myself around every six months as part of my own skin renewal routine. It creates a controlled renewal process and gives my skin an opportunity to return looking fresher, smoother and more refined. It is more intensive than a traditional facial and requires commitment to aftercare.
LOUISE WALSH PLASMA PEN
Advanced Fibroblast Skin Tightening
When your skin needs a little lift without surgery, it is not always about wanting to look different. It is about looking fresher, firmer and more like yourself. The Louise Walsh Plasma Pen is an advanced plasma device designed specifically for non surgical skin tightening, lifting and rejuvenation.
What is fibroblasting?
Louise Walsh Plasma Pen
Fibroblasts are cells naturally found within your skin. They are involved in producing important structural components such as collagen and elastin. Plasma fibroblasting creates a controlled and targeted thermal effect, encouraging the skin’s natural healing and remodelling response.
What can Plasma Pen help with?
Depending on your skin and the area being treated, Plasma Pen may improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, laxity, crepey skin, loss of firmness, hooded looking upper eyelids and areas that would benefit from a more lifted appearance.
Why Louise Walsh Plasma Pen?
I chose the Louise Walsh Plasma Pen because it was developed specifically around plasma and fibroblasting. The technology is supported by specialist education and training through the Louise Walsh Academy, helping treatment knowledge and technique match the quality of the device.
Is it the same as Fusion8?
No. Although both use plasma technology, they are different treatments. Fusion8 offers multiple plasma modalities for different layers and needs of the skin. Plasma Pen is more specifically targeted towards thermal plasma, fibroblast activation and skin tightening.
How do the results develop?
Plasma Pen is not an instant facelift. The skin needs time to move through its natural healing and remodelling process. The aim is a firmer, tighter and fresher looking version of you, with results developing as the skin responds.
Why I offer it
The treatment is built around giving the skin the right stimulation and allowing its own renewal process to become part of the rejuvenation journey. The right treatment, technique and aftercare all support that process.
FUSION8 PLASMA TREATMENTS
Advanced Plasma Technology
Where science meets your skin’s natural ability to renew. Fusion8 by Louise Walsh is an advanced plasma system that gives me the flexibility to treat a wide range of skin concerns using different plasma technologies from one platform.
What is plasma?
Fusion8 advanced plasma technology
Plasma is an ionised gas that can be used in different ways depending on the treatment. Plasma energy interacts with the skin and can encourage natural biological responses involved in repair, renewal and collagen production. In simple terms, it encourages your skin to do more of what it already knows how to do.
Why Fusion8?
Fusion8 has eight different modalities, allowing each treatment to be adapted to your skin, your concerns and the result you would like to achieve. It offers more versatility and control than a single purpose device, so your treatment does not have to look the same as someone else’s.
Cold Plasma
Cold plasma is one of the gentler sides of Fusion8. It can support skin that feels congested, inflamed, sensitive or compromised. Its antimicrobial properties can also be useful for certain skin concerns and when supporting recovery after another treatment.
Warm Plasma
Warm plasma uses controlled energy to work more deeply with the skin. It can encourage natural repair processes and collagen production, helping to improve the appearance of fine lines, texture, firmness and overall skin quality over time.
Hyperplasma
A targeted treatment for skin that feels loose, crepey or less defined around areas such as the eyes, upper lip, jaw, neck and décolletage. Results are designed to develop progressively.
Ozone Therapy
Ozone Therapy can help purify and calm the skin. It can be especially useful for skin that feels congested, reactive or prone to blemishes.
Diamond Tip Fusion8
A diamond shaped copper tip works alongside Fusion8 technology to provide advanced skin stimulation across the face and neck.
Beyond the face
Fusion8 can also support a variety of other applications, including scalp and hair treatments. This makes it a versatile part of advanced skin and hair rejuvenation plans.
Why I chose Fusion8
I have worked with plasma technology for years and wanted greater versatility, more treatment options and more control. Fusion8 brings multiple plasma modalities together with specialist Louise Walsh training and professional support. Your skin. Your concerns. Your treatment.
SMOOTHER SKIN
Diode Laser Hair Removal
Smoother skin, less shaving and less hassle. At Harris Palace, I use the Smart Group Diode Laser to deliver controlled laser energy to the hair follicle, targeting the pigment within the hair and progressively reducing its ability to produce new hair.
How does Diode Laser Hair Reduction work?
Smart Group Diode Laser
Laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the hair and travels towards the follicle. The follicle is heated in a controlled way, helping to reduce its ability to produce hair. Over time, clients may see less hair, slower regrowth, finer and softer hair and smoother looking skin.
Comfort and virtually pain free technology
Modern diode technology includes cooling to help keep the skin comfortable during treatment. Most clients describe a warm, gentle sensation rather than the discomfort often associated with older hair removal methods.
Why results are progressive
Hair grows in different stages, so not every hair can be treated during the same growth phase. A course of appointments is needed for the best reduction. Results vary according to hair colour, thickness, skin type and hormonal influences.
Laser compared with waxing
Waxing removes hair temporarily, while laser targets the follicle itself. The goal is long term reduction in unwanted hair growth, meaning less time spent shaving or waxing and progressively smoother skin.
Consultation, patch test and suitability
Laser hair reduction is not suitable for every hair or skin type. A consultation and patch test are essential before treatment. I will assess your skin and hair, discuss your expectations and explain how to prepare for treatment and care for your skin afterwards.
Why I chose Smart Group
I wanted a professional diode laser system that I could use confidently and safely while giving clients a comfortable experience. Every treatment plan is tailored to the individual and delivered within the standards required for registered laser clinics in Wales.
